MICHAEL HAPESHIS is the principal architect of INTERARCHITECT.ORG. He graduated from Thames Polytechnic (Now Greenwich University) in 1984 with a BA(Hon's) in June 1981 and with a postgraduate Dip.Arch(Hon's) in 1984. Subsequently he returned to Cyprus were he set up his own practice. In late 1986 he was elected a corporate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and in the same year was registered with what used to be ARCUK, now the ARB (Architect's Registration Board). He was also registered with the Bahrain Society of Engineers and he is a founder member of the Cyprus Technical Chambers. In his spare time, he pursues his other great love, the cinema. His films RESURRECTION, MISS SPARKS and SHOOTOUT have already achieved substantial success in international festivals and in the Cyprus and UK press. He is now preparing his feature film DINNER WITH MY SISTERS, a tribute to his three sisters.

Producing and directing a film is, in many ways, the same as planning and realising a new building. The Architect/Director is faced with the same dilemmas, the same aesthetic and functional considerations. Film is a form of art while Architecture is the mother of all arts. It is only with being fully aware of our place in history that we can produce anything of value. Le Corbusier set the crucial question, Architecture or Revolution, to which Charles Jenks replied Architecture and Revolution.
